The best and brightest of film and television gathered at the SAG Awards. The night was all about celebrating women; Kristen Bell was the first female host, all awards were handed out by women and some women (Nicole Kidman) gave feminist, empowering speeches. The biggest winner for the film categories was  Three Billboards outside Ebbing, Missouri . Two actors won big acting awards and the entire cast won the SAG award for Best Motion Picture. Gary Oldman won Best Actor award for his role in  Darkest Hour , and Allison Janney won Best Supporting Actress for  I, Tonya. In television,  This is Us  was a big winner, receiving the Best  Drama Series award, and Sterling K. Brown being awarded the Best Actor award. Other acting awards were won by Alexander Skarsgard and Nicole Kidman for the miniseries  Big Little Lies . Just like last year, Julia Louis-Dreyfus and William H. The theme of the Met Gala 2018 was "Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination". Some people really took this theme to heart, others not so much. It felt like some people just slapped a cross on a dress (see Kim Kardashian), while others didn't do anything with the theme, it looked like (Hailey Baldwin, Miley Cyrus, Kendall Jenner and more)... but to be honest, I'm okay with it. It's a bit disappointing, but I personally found this theme really difficult. A nuns dress isn't neccessarily the most fashionable, let alone red-carpet worthy. Some people who did pay a lot of attention to the theme, were Rihanna, Jared Leto, Ariana Grande, Emilia Clarke and more. I think more people stuck to the theme this year than they did last year, which is already an improvement. I listed some of my favorite dresses of the night down below. The Emmy’s 2018 happened and it was pretty crazy. There was a proposal on stage (!!), Hannah Gadsby was absolutely hilarious and the red carpet was spectacular. A big winner of the night was  The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel , with the show winning an award for Best Comedy and lead actress Rachel Brosnahan winning a Best Actress award.  Game of Thrones  won the Best Drama award. Claire Foy won the other Best Actress award, namely for Drama, for her role in  The Crown.  Bill Hader and Matthew Rys won the Outstanding Performance by a Lead Actor awards. The stars of television looked absolutely amazing on the red carpet. All the colors of the rainbow (and obviously black and white) came by, just like glitters, beading, flowers, feathers… The best looks of the night (according to me) were from Thandie Newton, Madelaine Petsch, Letitia Wright and Millie Bobby Brown.
